One of the most spectacular zipline courses in India runs directly over the landscape you see from the haveli rooftop. Operated by Flying Fox inside Mehrangarh Fort, the tour covers six ziplines — the longest 300 metres — for a total of 1.2 kilometres of flight over the fort's battlements, the desert rock park, and the twin lakes of Ranisar and Padamsar.
The tour starts in the Chokelao Gardens inside the fort with a short practice zip, then moves to the big lines in groups of up to 12, guided by two trained instructors. No prior experience is needed. The finale is the longest zip of the course — 300 metres over the two lakes, with the Blue City and the fort walls filling the horizon.
The zip station is a ten-minute walk from The Rani Mahal, making it one of the easiest adventure activities to fit into a stay — a morning tour still leaves the full day for the fort and the old city.
